UNICS edged Hemofarm

Terrell Lyday scored 28 points and UNICS celebrated the third straight win at EuroCup Last 16. They upset Hemofarm in Serbia tonight. The victory propelled Unics at 3-0 record on top of Group I.

Hemofarm looked dominant in the first quarter. The Serbian team spurred in front to post a 24:17 lead after ten minutes. But UNICS quickly bounced back. Led by Terrell Lyday the Russian powerhouse erased the deficit and posted a 38:37 lead at halftime. Unics stayed in front throughout the third term. They accumulated a 59:55 lead at the final break. Hemofarm drew things level late in regulation 83:83 but Unics managed to escape with a narrow one-point win at the end.

Vladimir Veremeenko produced 17 points and 11 rebounds for UNICS. Kelly McCarty and Maciej Lampe added 14 points each in the win.
