BEKO PBL All Stars game will be held in Nizhniy Novgorod
The first BEKO PBL All Stars Game will be held in Nizhniy Novgorod on March 26.
PBL director general Ginas Rutkauskas announced about that on press-conference connected with sponsorship agreement signing with BEKO on Monday.
«The All Stars Game is our first large project. The game will be held in Nizhniy Novgorod on March 26, - announced Ginas Rutkauskas. – First we wanted to hold it in Krasnodar as an opening game of the new basketball arena which is under construction in Krasnodar. But Krasnodarskiy krai administration told us that new arena won’t be ready to host the game in announced time. I had negotiations on Friday with Nizhegorodskaya oblast governor Valery Shantsev and we made a final decision that the BEKO PBL All Stars Game will be held in Nizhniy Novgorod.
There will be two teams. Each team will consist of 12 players. First team will consist of the players declared in PBL by their clubs as Russian citizens. Second team will consist of legionaries. The staring fives and team’s coaches will be elected by internet voting on the new site which is under development at the moment.
The other seven players will be chosen by coaches as well as their assistants. Moreover there will be some other contests which will be announced later».

BEKO PBL govering body has discussed possible merge of the league with VTB United league.
Spartak-Primorye from Vladivostok will play in the PBL next season if they are able to meet certain requierements.
The Moscow club is out of the top Russian league due to financial problems.
