Steaua fend off Lokomotiv comeback
Steaua-Turabo signed off from the EuroChallenge with a win over Group F winners Lokomotiv Kuban on Tuesday night in Bucharest.
Hristo Nikolov poured in 18 points to lead the Romanians to an 87:78 victory. Steaua-Turabo seemed to have control of this contest late in the first half when they opened up a 51:33 lead. Lokomotiv played better after the intermission got to within 71:67 with 5:37 to go in the game.
Darryl Jackson scored for the hosts, and then teammate Courtney Fortson followed with a three-point play for a 76:67 lead and they held on for a nine-point win. For Steaua-Turabo, Virgil Stanescu and Uros Lucic each contributed 16 points and Fortson added 15 with nine rebounds. Mike Wilkinson led Lokomotiv with 16 points and Alando Tucker added 15 and also pulled down nine boards.

«First of all I want to congratulate Steaua for the victory, they played well. They played at home in the front of the public and it was an advantage. About my team we didn't start good, and I think that's what made the difference. We had a very hard game in Russia and we were a little bit relaxed. But we will go forward in EuroChallenge».
Langford's performance index rating in the match against Zalgiris is 42.

UNICS gained a victory over Banvit BK in the last Eurocup group stage game on Tuesday.
Primoz Brezec 23 points and 17 rebounds didn't help Krasnye Krylya to outscore Alba.
